Volunteer with Us

Lunch Server

Assist daily from 11:45 AM to 12:45 PM with serving the seniors meals at our Jackson Café in San Rafael. Volunteers are always needed and appreciated in our dining room at 930 Tamalpais Avenue, San Rafael.  For more information, please contact Betty Dietz at extension 134.

Lounge Hostess

greets and assists seniors who visit our lounge at the Whistlestop location in San Rafael. This position’s primary responsibility is to visit with the seniors who come during the day. For more info contact Betty Diaz at ext. 134.

Resource Office

Answer telephones, assist with general questions about Senior Services in Marin County, light computer work, and make appointments for tax season and legal counseling. For more info contact Betty Diaz at ext. 134.

Tax Consultant Volunteers

annually during tax season several people volunteer as tax consultants. All of these volunteers are given a one-day training seminar by the IRS to certify the volunteers as VITA tax consultants. Our tax volunteers then help low-income seniors with filing their basic taxes. For more info contact Betty Diaz at ext. 134.
